Spring City Wedding

I don’t choose favorites, all my weddings are so special to me. But if I did, Laura and Maurice’s will be one of them. For so many reasons, but especially because I just love their love! It’s deep and expressive and passionate (just like the bride) and they have most certainly each found their person in each other. I was so honored they chose me to help guide their planning journey and so thrilled with how it all came together. It was also so exciting to see this wedding published in Boston Weddings in print and online! A huge shout out to my friends Carly Michelle Photography and Shawna of The Wild Dahlia and the rest of the incredible vendor team!

Held at one of Boston’s most iconic venues, The State Room, this wedding was everything an elegant spring city wedding should be. The couple had their first look in Christopher Columbus park overlooking Boston Harbor at the edge of historical Faneuil Hall. From there the wedding party took a white trolley to the venue.

Thirty floors up overlooking the city, Laura and Maurice exchanged their own vows in front of their 200 guests under a stunning circular arbor designed by Wild Dahlia. After the ceremony, guests moved up to the terrace for cocktail hour and were greeted by a gorgeous floral wall with blush and vellum escort cards hand lettered by Hello, Bird calligraphy and everyone enjoyed the couples signature drink selections, a French 75 for her and an Old Fashion for him.

The reception space was transformed during cocktail hour for a romantic and glamorous evening of dinner and dancing. Blush silk linens, gold accents and elegant oversized florals graced the tables. Each guest was gifted a white and gold luggage tag with a map of the world to share in the couple’s love of travel. The bride and groom danced their first dance on the modern white dance floor with a custom monogram of their newly shared last name before taking their seats at the striking sweetheart table set under the arbor and adorned with even more florals.

Heartfelt toasts were given by many, including one by the newlyweds who surprised the parents of the bride with a trip to Ireland as a thank you. After dinner, Elevated Pulse Productions kept the party going and the couple danced the night away with their family and friends, surrounded by love and celebration.
